Connect To Your Truth!


This post directs you straight to your truth! In reality, it's impossible not to be this truth - because it's who you are - but we forget. So here it is!

Try and read all the steps before doing the exercise if you can, but it’s OK if you want to do it bit by bit.

Step 1: Sit quietly where you won’t be disturbed for a minute, get comfortable and close your eyes. Focus on your breath.

Step 2: Notice where your attention is.

Step 3: Something within you must be aware of the attention in order for you to feel where it is. Feel the awareness of your attention – the source of your attention. (This is the most important step – spend more time here if you want/need to.)

Step 4: Be with the source you discover. Relax into it. Can you find the sense ‘I am’, which means ‘I exist’ and is the total awareness of your entire being?

If this really works for you, sit with the feeling. If it doesn’t, don’t worry – there are often more than one way in which we need to hear something before we come to a realisation. You could also come back to this page when you feel more ready.

Here are a few more ideas that may help you find where I’m pointing you to in the exercise:

1. You’re connecting to the part of you that has been there every single second of your life. Can you find the only thing that has been a constant in your life? The one thing that has never changed?

2. There has to be something that’s aware of the thoughts because that’s how you know they’re there. Can you find this awareness? Can you then find what’s aware of even the awareness?

3. What’s the one thing you truly can’t let go of? Even if you could let go of every belief, attachment, thought, feeling, sensation in your mind and body… what’s left?

Once you connect to the free, spacious being that you are, you are simply witnessing yourself. If you are aware of yourself without being ‘in’ the turmoil, stress, etc., it can’t hurt you. You realise that everything is okay!
